Ongoing programs:
To relieve hunger and malnutrition suffered by area residents. To solicit food donations. To redistributed food received to families and other organizations, principally in the London Area. To provide education and programs in nutrition, life skills, and the arts for those that are unable to afford them in an effort to reduce the effects of poverty and the betterment of the community. To solicit foodstuffs, musical and arts related goods and moneys and then redistribute these foodstuffs and provide programs at no chart to area residents who are unable to afford and need assistance. The London Food Bank utilizes significant volunteer assistance to complete the above programs with an estimate of 35,000 volunteer hours. The food bank has installed a green house to grow vegetables for clients and organizations that it supports. The Food Bank supports other organizations providing them with green houses if they use the food to support those in need of food.
