Ongoing programs: Cuso International is a Canadian international development organization committed to eradicating poverty and inequality around the world. Cuso operates on three continents in the following regions: Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada’s Northwest Territories. By collaborating with local partners and citizens, we deliver sustainable development results that respond to communities’ immediate needs. Our programs are focused on advancing gender equality through the empowerment of women and girls, improving access to and quality of, economic opportunities for young people and building the capacity of Cuso partners to ensure the skills they develop are sustainable for the long term. Each year, we mobilize hundreds of volunteer professionals to maximize our partners’ impact and build capacity. In 2020/21 we placed 194 skilled volunteers (including e-volunteers) where they provided technical assistance in everything from marketing and business development, to agriculture, gender equity, and public health. Cuso International is a registered charity in Canada and the United States.
