Programs and activities:

Ongoing programs: Vancouver Association for Survivors of Torture (VAST) conducts individual therapy sessions for Refugee and Refugee claimant clients, who are survivors of torture and trauma. VAST also runs ongoing weekly groups; one for Refugee Claimants that is called 'Getting Through it', and one for government assisted and privately sponsored refugees called "Healing Through Arts". VAST also hosts events with clients and former clients such as Yoga and Barbecues.

New programs: VAST has planned to have mental health support activities for clients, such as yoga classes, and out-door group activities like short local hiking trips.
