Ongoing programs: Non-denominational and accessible to all Edmontonians in need, the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton raises funds to provide a festival meal to Edmonton failies, seniors and individuals. Approximately 45% of the clients served are children and teens under the age of 18 years. The Christmas Bureau coordinates with other Christmas charities to ensure the reduction of duplication of service. The Christmas Bureau is governned by a volunteer Board of Directors, and is a volunteer driven organization with over 700 volunteers who devote their time and talents ensuring Edmontonians in need can enjoy a Canadian Tradition with a festive meal. working with the social service agencies in Edmonton or through self referrals, clients are screened for eligibility.
