Programs and activities:

Ongoing programs: Sage Senior Association is a senior-serving organization that offers a wide range of programs, services and supports to seniors throughout the greater Edmonton area: our programming includes life enrichment activities, short and long-term social work services, a seniors' safe house, outreach to isolated seniors, including immigrant and refugee seniors, supporting senior-led initiatives, and the annual preparation and distribution of free Directory of Senior Services. Mission: to inspire and support seniors to be the best they can be. Our vision is a community where all seniors are valued and have the opportunity to live according to their beliefs, abilities, and aspirations. Objects: to enhance the quality of life of older persons and their families by providing: services that promote socialization, intellectual stimulation, skill and information acquisition; services that enhance the safety and wellbeing of older persons who are, or may become, isolated disadvantaged, or at-risk in the community; information and services that assist older persons to participate as active members of the community and to reside safely in accommodation that meets their needs; and research and advocacy on issues affecting older persons. Volunteers touch every aspect of the work that we do, and contribute to meaningful services and vibrant programming for the seniors in our community. In 2018, volunteers donated over 24,000 hours of their time to Sage programs and services.

New programs: Sage Seniors Association began operating a health clinic in March 2018, with the goal to provide isolated and at risk seniors preventative health care. Our health clinic is run by Nurse Practitioners whom are not billed by a per-service fee structure with the goal to address all health concerns of their patients. Sage aims to provide holistic services for the seniors we serve; recreational, social, and now health.
