Programs and activities:

Ongoing programs: VHL Canada is established exclusively for charitable purposes: to promote the health and well-being of VHL (Von Hippel-Lindau syndrome) patients and their family members in Canada by providing and facilitating a system of peer support. peer support is the emotional, informational, and practical support from and for people with lived experiences, to cultivate mutual empowerment. Peer support initiatives are run by and for the participants. Group support online is facilitated by a permanent Peer Support Volunteer (PSV) every week and through phone/video calls as needed. Individual support and outreach is provided by PSV: daily or as needed through text/chat, phone and email. Coping information: regular blogs/group emails and social media updates, self-help (psychosocial) resources, and webcasts. Our PSV also happens to be an experienced registered clinical social worker (MSW)
