Ongoing programs: Canadian Feed The Children is an international development and relief agency formed in 1986. The charity works with local partners internationally and in Indigenous communities across Canada to deliver community-led food security, livelihoods, education, health and capacity building programs. These include: 1) Food sovereignty in Indigenous communities in Canada 2) Gender equality training, especially in support of girls’ health and education and women’s livelihoods 3) Climate-adaptive and market-led agricultural initiatives that boost agricultural production and income 4) Community resilience building, enabling families and communities to withstand climate and other stressors for long-term, sustainable economic development

New programs: In 2019 new programs included: 1. The Slaight Healthy Body, Healthy Minds project in Canada with the following new partners: Atikameg/Whitefish Lake First Nation, Tadoule Lake/Sayisi Dene First Nation, Red Rock Indian Band, Biigtigong Nishnaabeg First Nation, and Rigolet, Labrador. 2. Additional community in Daramalo, SNNPR, Ethiopia with existing partner Mission for Community Development Program (MCDP).
