Ongoing programs:
We had a successful first show with our production of "The Unexpected Guest", selling out several performances. When COVID hit, we were 3 of 4 months into our spring pre-production activities of the "Enchanted April" production with 50 volunteers engaged and working together. Since then, we have been unable to put up another show due to COVID. Despite this, we continued our tradition of awarding theatre bursary awards to 4 students from 2 local high schools in the areas of "Acting" and "Backstage/Technical". in Addition, we continue to train our high school volunteers in the areas of set construction, lighting and sound operation, and front of house activities. Village Theatre continues to support the local business community by promoting local initiatives through creative displays & signage. We represent & promote theatre arts programming on a local municipal community council representative committee.

New programs:
We were one of the first to support the new box office service offerings of the Burlington Performing Arts Centre (BPAC) (a charitable, not-for-profit organization). For our "Enchanted April" production, we implemented and started to utilize the services. We are delighted to partner with the BPAC staff to expand our cultural networks and deliver a range of new and efficient ticketing options for an expanded patron base in 2021 and beyond. Village Theatre volunteered for Theatre Ontario to adjudicate performances to judges in training. We support volunteer recognition through a local volunteer organization, nominating a VT volunteer for their commitment and achievements.
