Programs and activities:

Ongoing programs: CAPE provides persons with disabilities with a link to the community through vocational education, interaction and personal skills building. The CAPE also works to educate the general public on the skills and abilities our participants possess. Pre-Vocational programs encompass several areas of training including: mail processing, answering phones;developing computer skills; photocopying document shredding assembling golf, hotel and coal packages for local business.Vocational training offers hands-on work experience to individuals at the CAPE. Through our refinishing department participants and staff restore all types of wood furniture to its original quality The pre-employment program provides job-readiness skills training CAPE Participants in this department are working towards employment or volunteer placements Our participants gain experience in real working situations within the com munity, with the support from the employer and with the CAPEs job coach support. We provide one-on-one support and training in the workplace with the employer. The CAPE Society, is renowned for quality, professional furniture repairs,the restoration of antiques as well as modern, home, office and institutional furniture refinishing.
