Programs and activities:

Ongoing programs: Situated in one of the most diverse communities in the world, Scarborough and Rouge Hospital Foundation (SRH Foundation) raises funds for state of the art medical equipment and building projects for Scarborough and Rouge Hospital and its associated entities. Since its inception, SRH Foundation has worked with generous donors, voluteers and community members to raise the funds needed to help save lives, and support our vision to be recognized as Canada's leader in providing the best healthcare for a global community. SRH Foundation is fortunate and grateful to have the generous support from many patients, family members, staff, physicians, volunteers, community members and corporations.

New programs: On August 30, 2017, Dr. Eric Hoskins, then Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, officially approved provincial funding for a new chronic disease management hub and dialysis centre to be built in Scarborough with the hospital being one of four partners (YMCA of Toronto, United Way of Toronto and York Region, and the City of Toronto being the other three). On October 4, 2017, Toronto City Council unanimously approved lease terms for the land development for this project. And then on February 14, 2018, former Premier of Ontario, Kathleen Wynn, committed a $500,000 grant for the redevelopment and expansion of the Emergency Department at the Centenary site of SRH as well as a $2.2 million master planning grant for a new hospital in ...Scarborough. SRH Foundation is currently raising funds for these two projects along with a new Medical Imaging and Vascular Centre which was approved by the provincial government in 2016.
