Programs and activities:

Ongoing programs: 1. Vivo's Everybody Plays helps 1500+ families in Calgary access social connections, recreation, and play. 2. Vivo educates children through Campus Calgary 'Healthy Living School sponsored by Cenovus Energy in partnership with both Calgary school boards. Students engage in experiential learning in the community and share their learnings out in the world. 3. The Child and Youth Action Research Project has shifted into a 7-year longitudinal study with Vivo's 4 in 1 Physical literacy Program. Increases in participant engagement and movement are outcomes noted to date. 5. Vivo's Gen H Award is given to the Calgary Catholic School Board to recognize a Grade 12 student who embodies living a healthy life and is an advocate and support for helping others do the same. 6. The Gen H Instructor Training Program came to life and demonstrated the change it was intentionally designed to produce. Vivo's Gen H Instructors are empowered and educated to deliver programming that results in a 10% increase of moderate to vigorous activity.

New programs: 7. Vivo facilitates play outdoors in the community with the Gen H Play Project, funded by the Public Health Agency and Anonymous. This team is working to increase physical activity, social connection, intergenerational socialization, outdoor engagement, and spontaneous play. 8. Vivo is increasing drop-in-play opportunites in line with challenges that our community is facing to live a healthy lifestyle. These drop-in programs serve to remove time as a barrie allowing for more participation, movement, and social connection.
