Ongoing programs: JVS Society plays a vital role in Toronto and York Region ensuring that jobseekers reach their potential at work, employers build the workforce they need to be successful, and students perform at their best. We provide employment counselling, career counselling, job search programs, mentoring, skills development training, psycho-vocational and educational assessments, vocational evaluations, workplace communication programs, bridge-to work and ethno-specific mentoring programs, programs for youth at risk and summer internships. For our employer partners, we provide job-ready employees. JVS offers a full range of employment services at our 5 Employment Source centres geared towards individuals out of work or underemployed, individuals unsure of where to turn and those in need of help identifying their skills and support with their job search. Our dedicated team of multi-disciplinary professionals is experienced in providing services to children, youth and adults. In particular, we are knowledgeable in supporting individuals with disabilities, newcomers to Canada, at-risk youth, and mature workers.

New programs: - IPLAN Online: Immigrant Professionals Leveraging Architectural Knowledge for New Opportunities. An information and orientation program for international professionals in Architecture. - ISAGE: International Skills Applied for Geriatrics. A bridge training program for international healthcare and educational professionals. - The Refugees in Successful Employment (RISE) program provides wrap-around economic integration support to Syrian refugees in a culturally sensitive environment. - Newcomer Youth - Connection to Success program assists newcomer youth in North York and York Region in building community connections for successful integration.
