Ongoing programs: Food Bank On Wheels home delivers food and sundry items to Single Parent families who have a Disability (mental or physical) in their family that prevents them from going to a regular food bank safely in the Metro Vancouver area. Food Bank On Wheels assists people on low income in the Vancouver Downtown East Side. (DTES) by providing volunteers with gas expenses to deliver food and sundry items. Food Bank On Wheels has 2/4 directors 3 paid staff and 7 volunteers that help run the day-to-day operations of this organization. The duties include deliveries of hampers, preparing the hampers, shopping, picking up donations, client registration and communication as well as social media. Food Bank On Wheels received from SPFoodBank (nonprofit organization) and from Staples school supplies & computer hardware for our "Back to School /Food Hamper project". Each K-12 child / teen received knapsacks with school supplies. Each child/teen Grade 5-12 got Chromebooks, total 72 Chromebooks as well as 2 Amazon Fire tablets. As well as laptops for families that were homeschooling, total 10. Food Bank On Wheels provides a monthly food hamper to eligible clients whom are mostly Single Parents with a home delivery because they are unable to go to a regular food bank due to an illness or disability in the family. The food hampers consist of perishable foods & non-perishable foods we purchase to ensure quality and freshness. Also, we add donated food that we receive. Food Bank On Wheels also provides grocery gift cards to the clients we serve during Easter, Christmas & emergencies.

New programs: Due to Covid-19 we expanded our services to people with disabilities and Seniors that needed home delivery of a food hamper because they were unable to go to a food bank safely due to health reasons.
