Ongoing programs of The Canadian Council of Churches include convening and hosting conversations on  the church in the digital age, universal access to palliative care, medical assistance in dying, and religious pluralism: The Commission on Faith and Witness is a gathering place for churches seeking a common theological understanding to guide action.  ending poverty, racial reconciliation, ending sexual exploitation and human trafficking, refugee rights, climate justice and Indigenous rights: The Commission on Justice and Peace is a forum for churches to reflect biblically and theologically; facilitate cooperation; and assist in advocacy efforts.  synthetic biology, human hereditable genome editing, genetically engineered food systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics: Faith and Life Sciences is an open and inclusive space for exploring the relationship between faith and the life sciences.  Christian-Jewish relations, Christian-Muslim relations, interfaith learning, religious freedom, and Christian relations with Indigenous spiritualities: Christian Interfaith reflects ecumenically on religious diversity to inform and inspire interfaith relationships among Christian churches in Canada.  deepening understanding for intercultural engagement, racial justice, training for transformation: The Forum for Intercultural Leadership and Learning is an ecumenical Christian partnership through which Canadian Churches work toward intercultural leadership and learning in Canada and globally. Project Ploughshares is the peace research institute of The Canadian Council of Churches, which works with churches, governments, and civil society, in Canada and abroad, to advance policies and actions to prevent war and armed violence and build peace. Project Ploughshares maintains research and education programs in disarmament, including nuclear weapons, and in global security, with particular emphasis on the arms trade, emerging military and security technologies including killer robots, and norms for outer space.
