Ongoing programs: Mobile Jewish Response to the Homeless: Volunteers join a Ve'ahavta Outreach Worker five shifts per week (six hour shifts), delivery coffee, food, clothing hygiene supplies, and supportive companionship of the city's homeless population. Ve'Ahavta Street Academy: 9-week adults education program in partnership with George Brown College to provide essential skills training for vulnerable individuals. Creative Writing Program: offers weekly writing workshops geared to marginalized individuals. New programs: MYTORONTO is a program that engages individuals with lived experience of homelessness in creative arts workshops, a photography contest and calendar project, and sales opportunities. The Meal Box program was created to provide warm nutritious meals to those living rough on the streets of Toronto, workplace training opportunities for those with lived experience of poverty and homelessness, and providing engaging, hands-on volunteer opportunities for community members.
