The Canada Revenue Agency is offering grants to community organizations that run free tax clinics through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) or through Revenu Quebec’s Income Tax Assistance – Volunteer Program (ITAVP). The purpose of the
CVITP
Grant is to help these organizations with the costs of hosting and administering their tax clinics.

To apply for the grant, an organization must have participated in the most recent
CVITP
or
ITAVP
season.
To be eligible for the
CVITP
Grant, your organization must provide free tax filing and preparing services to the public.
Due to limited resources, not all eligible applicants can receive a grant. We encourage those who are not successful to apply again next year.
Please note:
if your organization has only one registered volunteer, a secondary contact must be identified in the organization’s program registration.

Grant application is from May 1 to June 30 each year.
Your tax clinic is not eligible if it is organized or administered by the following:
the office of a federal, provincial or territorial member of Parliament.
the office of a municipal councillor.
an organization whose core business function is for profit.
