CVITP Grant application 2024: Eligibility and consent

0% Complete
The Canada Revenue Agency is offering grants to community organizations that run free tax clinics through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) or through Revenu Quebec’s Income Tax Assistance – Volunteer Program (ITAVP). The purpose of the CVITP Grant is to help these organizations with the costs of hosting and administering their tax clinics. Read the full terms and conditions of the grant here (Note: This link will open in a new tab or window). To apply for the grant, an organization must have participated in the most recent CVITP or ITAVP season. To be eligible for the CVITP Grant, your organization must provide free tax filing and preparing services to the public. Due to limited resources, not all eligible applicants can receive a grant. We encourage those who are not successful to apply again next year. Please note:
  • if your organization has only one registered volunteer, a secondary contact must be identified in the organization’s program registration.
  • the CVITP Grant application is from May 1 to June 30 each year.
Your tax clinic is not eligible if it is organized or administered by the following:
  • the office of a federal, provincial or territorial member of Parliament.
  • the office of a municipal councillor.
  • an organization whose core business function is for profit.
