The YMCA of Greater Toronto is a charity that ignites the potential in people, helping them grow, lead, and give back to their communities. For 170 years, we’ve been tackling the most critical health and social issues in our region. Today, we’re striving to boost well-being and promote equity across the GTA through our programs including child care, employment services, education and training programs, immigrant services, youth leadership development, outreach and intervention, health and fitness, camps and outdoor education, and volunteer development. In 2021-2022, the YMCA of Greater Toronto served 439,930 participants both virtually and through more than 440 locations across the Toronto, Durham, Peel, York, and Halton and Dufferin County regions. Our work is made possible thanks to 1,919 donors, 1,472 volunteers, and 5,112 full[1]and part-time staff. By serving diverse communities of all ages, races, and income levels, we’re working to build vibrant communities where everyone can shine.
