SUPPORTING A NUMBER OF ENVIRONMENTAL PUBLIC HEALTH AGENCIES BY SUPPLYING THEM WITH FOOD SAFETY, SAFE DRINKING WATER AND PROPER MAINTENANCE OF SEPTIC SYSTEMS EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS. SUPPORTING CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION OF CANADIAN ... PUBLIC HEALTH .... DUE TO THE PANDEMIC THE BOARD DECIDED ALONG WITH OUR AWARD PARTNERS TO PUT OUR 2020 PROFESSIONAL ... AWARDS ON HOLD. THE BOARD CONTINUED TO CONDUCTED PUBLIC EDUCATION THROUGH OUR WEBSITE WWW.EHFC.CA, SOCIAL MEDIA (FACEBOOK, TWITTER,....) & LINKEDIN), DIRECT MAILING EMAIL LISTSERV, DIRECT TARGET OF PAST DONORS.

New programs: REVIEWED AND AUDITED OUR 2019-2021 STRATEGIC PLAN. HOSTED OUR ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING VIRTUALLY IN 2020 DUE TO THE PANDEMIC. CONTINUED TO FUND RAISE FOR OUR 30TH ANNIVERSARY TO FINANCIALLY SUPPORT THE CREATION OF TWO NEW ENDOWMENT IN KEEPING WITH STRATEGIC DIRECTION. AS OF DECEMBER 31. 2019, THE BOARD RAISED $17,630 OUR OUR $30,000 GOAL. THE NEW FUNDS CREATED (1) TO FINANCIALLY SUPPORT AN ANNUAL ENVIRONMENTAL PUBLIC HEALTH AID PROJECT IN CANADA OR INTERNATIONALLY, AND (2) ATTENDANCE PUBLIC HEALTH INSPECTIONS STUDENTS TO ATTEND THE CIPHI NATIONAL ANNUAL EDUCATION CONFERENCE (AEC).THE BOARD APPROVED SUPPORT OF AN INTERNATIONAL AID PROJECT AND WILL BE DONATING $5,000 IN 2021 TO THE ROTARY CLUB OF STRATFORD, ON THAT SPONSORS THE CANADIAN OUTREACH MEDICAL & MISSION TEAM (COMMIT) WHO HAVE WORKED SEVERAL YEARS WITH SMALL COMMUNITIES IN NICARAGUA. THE FUNDS TWILL BE USED TOWARDS THE WATER WELL PROJECT WHICH INCLUDES DRILLING NEW WELLS AND RETROFITTING OLDER WELLS. THE TEAM VISITS TWICE A YEAR (FEB & OCT) TO OVERSEE NEW PROJECTS AND AVAILABLE PAST PROJECTS. THE BOARD BOARD HAVE ALSO DISCUSSED DEVELOPING A FOOD SAFETY AND HYGIENE PROGRAM THAT COULD BE UTILIZED BY THE TEAM WHEN VISITING VILLAGES. THE BOARD APPROVED $500 DONATION TO THE CANADIAN INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC HEALTH INSPECTORS, ONTARIO BRANCH TO SUPPORT THEIR 2019 EDUCATION DAY ON RECREATIONAL WATER QUALITY
