Programs and activities:

Ongoing programs: The Rick Hansen Foundation (RHF) is dedicated to creating an inclusive world where people with disabilities are living to their full potential. For over three decades, the Foundation has facilitated collaboration, forged partnerships and generated social innovations. We continue to develop programs and initiatives that raise awareness, change attitudes and remove barriers in the built environment for people with disabilities. We also fund innovative spinal cord injury related research through the Rick Hansen Institute (RHI) and the International Collaboration on Repair Discoveries (ICORD). Our programs include the RHF School Program, RHF Ambassador Program, Awareness programs including research, campaigns and social media initiatives and the RHF Accessibility Certification Program including Access Grants. The Foundation is accredited by the Imagine Canada's Standards Program, demonstrating our ongoing adherence to best practices in board governance, financial accountability and transparency, fundraising, staff management and volunteer involvement.
