Ongoing programs: Increasing Access to Medicines: Health Partners International of Canada (HPIC) is the only Canadian charity with a Health Canada Establishment License to handle donated medicines. We work to mobilize medical relief and increase access to health care in vulnerable communities around the world. HPIC works with a significant network of pharmaceutical, Non-Government Organizations domestic & international, and other community partners and donors to bring quality healthcare and medicines. Since 1990, HPIC has delivered $670 million in medicines impacting the health of 32 million people in 130 countries. HPIC follows World Health Organization’s Guidelines for the handling and distribution of all donations of medicines. Our management of products reflects the same high-level diligence and care as the manufacturer, uniquely positioning us to be the Canadian pharmaceutical industry’s preferred partner for donated medicines and supplies. Our large network of partners, locally and around the world is how this operation is possible. HPIC provides health and hope through key areas: 1. Medical Mission Teams with the provision of Humanitarian Medical Kits. HPIC equips Canadian doctors, healthcare professionals and volunteers with the medicines and medical supplies they need for health projects. 2. Bulk shipments of medicines that stock clinics and hospitals that are provided free of charge to patients living extreme poverty, are ill and suffering. 3. Local programming that includes education, awareness, healthcare professional training that are complimentary to the medicines supplies and result in improved health. 4. Emergency Humanitarian Medical Relief: HPIC provided immediate aid of medicines and medical supplies to families affected by crisis, natural disasters and political conflict. Over the last 12 months, HPIC responded to numerous emergencies in Ukraine, Lebanon, Pakistan and most recently Syria and Turkey.

New programs: HPIC has implemented three new projects: 1. Lebanon – A Neo Life project that supports the healthcare needs and increase access to treatment for Lebanese and refugee infants who have been born prematurely. 2. Kenya – Solar Initiative- Reliable Electricity for Obstetric and Newborn Care that improves the access to reliable electricity in five healthcare facilities in Kakamega and Kisumu Counties in western Kenya 3. Ghana – Expansion, Phase Two of The H.O.P.E. Project increases the access to healthcare and improving use of primary healthcare services in the Upper East Region of Ghana.
