Ongoing programs: HEALTHER PARTNERS INTERNATIONAL OF CANADA (HPIC) IS A CANADIAN REGISTERED CHARITY DEDICATED TO INCREASING ACCESS TO MEDICINE AND IMPROVING HEALTH FOR THE WORLDS MOST VULNERABLE PEOPLE. SINCE 1990, CANADAS PHARMACEUTICAL AND HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH HPIC TO TREAT OVER ONE MILLION CHILDREN AND ADULTS EVERY YEAR. HPIC PROVIDES HEALTH AND HOPE THROUGH THREE KEY AREAS: 1. HUMANITARIAN MEDICAL KITS: HPIC EQUPS CANADIAN DOCTORS, HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS AND VOLUNTEERS WITH THE MEDICINES AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES THEY NEED FOR HEALTH PROJECTS IN THE DEVELOPING WORLD. 2. BULK MEDICINES: HPIC WORKS WITH PARTNER AGENCIES TO STOCK CLINICS AND HOSPITALS BY PROVIDING SKIDS OF MEDICINES AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES. 3. EMERGENCY MEDICAL RELIEF: HPIC PROVIDED MEDICINES AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO FAMILIES AFFECTED BY CYCLONE IDAI AND THE VENEZUELA AND IRAQ CRISES IN 2019.

New programs: FOR 2020, HPIC IMPLEMENTED TWO NONCOMMUNICABLE DISEASES (NCD) PROJECTS IN KENYA: 1. TELEMEDICINE: EQUPPING COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE WORKERS WITH A TABLE AND SOFTWARE APP THAT WILL ALLOW THEM AND THEIR PATIENTS TO HAVE A LIVE CONSULTATION WITH A DOCTOR OR NURSE AT A HEALTH FACILITY. 2. TRAINING COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS TO PROVIDE AWARENESS AND MEDICINES TO TREAT HYPERTENSION, DIABETES AND CHRONIC RESPIRATORY DISEASES. EVERY $1 DONATED TO HPIC DELIVERS AT LEAST $10 WORTH OF ESSENTIAL MEDICINE.
