Ongoing programs: HEALTH PARTNERS INTERNATIONAL OF CANADA (HPIC) IS A CANADIAN REGISTERED CHARITY DEDICATED TO INCREASING ACCESS TO MEDICINE AND INPROVING HEALTH FOR THE WORLD RV S MOST VULNERABLE PEOPLE. SISNCE 1990, CANADA PHARMACEUTICAL AND HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY IN ADDITION TO OTHER CANADIAN DONORS HAVE BEEN PARTNERING WITH HPIC TO TREAT AND OVER ONE MILLION CHILDREN AND ADULTS EVERY YEAR. TO DATE OVER $625 MILLION WORTH OF MEDICINES HAVE BEEN DISTRIBUTED AND OVER 25 MILLION PEOPLE HAVE BENEFITED. HPIC PROVIDES HEALTH AND HOPE THROUGH THREE KEY AREAS: 1. MEDICAL MISSION TEAMS WITH THE PROVISION OF HUMANITARIAN MEDICAL KITS: HPIC EQUIPS CANADIAN DOCTORS. HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS AND VOLUNTEERS WITH ES THEY NEED FOR HEALTH PROJECTS IN THE DEVELOPING WORLD. 2. BULK MEDICINES THROUGH ON-GOING OUR KEY PROGRAM AREAS HPIC WORKS WITH IMPLEMENTING LOCAL PARTNERS TO STOCK CLINTCS AND HOSPITALS WITH MEDICINES THE INCREASED ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE FOR THOSE LIVING IN EXTREME POVERTY, ARE ILL AND SUFFERING. 3. EMERGENCY MEDICAL RELIEF: HPIC PROVIDED IMMEDIATE AID OF MEDICINES AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO FAMILIES AFFECTED BY CRISIS, NATURAL DISASTERS AND POLITICAL CONFLICT. LAST YEAR., HPIC RESPONDED TO NUMEROUS EMERGENCIES IN LEBANON, INDIA, ARMENIA, HONDURAS, ROJAVA, CAMEROON, HAITI, ST VINCENT AND GRENADINES, CUBA, VENEZUELA, AND GAZA.

New programs: THIS YEAR, HPIC IMPLEMENTED TWO NONCOMMUMCAB!E DISEASES (NCD) PROJECTS IN KENYA 1 . TELEMEDICINE: EQUIPPING COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS WITH A TABLET AND SOFTWARE APP THAT WILL ALLOW THEM AND THIER PATIENTS TO HAVE A LIVE CONSULTATION WITH A DOCTOR OR NURSE AT A HEALTH FACILITY. 2 TRAINING COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS TO PROVIDE AWARENESS AND MEDICINES TO TREAT HYPERTENSION. DIABETES AND CHRONIC RESPIRATORY DISEASES.
