Ongoing programs: VHL Canada is established exclusively for charitable purposes: To promote the health and well-bing of VHL (von Hippel-Lindau Syndrome) patients and their family members in Canada by providing and facilitating peer support. Peer support is the emotional, informational, and practical support from and for people with lived experiences, to cultivate mutual empowerment. Peer support initiatives are run by and for the participants. Group Support is facilitated by a permanent Peer Support Volunteer (PSV): online, every week and through phone/video calls as needed. Individual Support and Outreach is provided by PSV: daily or as needed through text-chat..., phone and email. Coping Information: Regular Blogs and Social Media updates, Newsletters/Group Emails, Self-help (Psychosocial) Resources, and Webcasts. This is also responsibility of PSV who also happens to be an experienced Registered Clinical Social Worker. All volunteers devote 900+ hours a year.

New programs: Guided relaxation video online group. Also, time change and extension for weekly drop-in chat group Wednesdays 7:30-9:00 pm EST.
