Mental Health Awareness and Educational programs: Mental Health First Aid, SafeTalk Assist, and Suicide Awareness courses; therapeutic programs for individuals experiencing mental health issues; subsidized meal programs; job support and life skills training; Peer Support and Wellness grants for empowerment, health and education; and a rent subsidy program to provide financial assistance to individuals' rent. There are also senior and youth programs, summer camp, art expression, and workplace mental health education. Subsidized Housing: CMHA Vernon operates 7 subsidized housing complexes in partnership with BC Housing, and one other low-income housing complex. Licensed Residential: CMHA Vernon operates two adult residential facilities serving clients requiring long-term and tertiary mental health care in the region. Rent Bank- Partnership with Rent Bank BC to provide short-term, zero interest loans for rent and utilities. Links to Employment- A program that helps people with persistent and/or multiple physical and mental barriers find work. Other programs: The Work BC program assists with job search skills and placement help for persons with disabilities/mental health needs; Bounce Back program provides telephone support for individuals experiencing mild to moderate depression/anxiety; The Crisis Line offers 24 hour text and phone support/referrals for individuals requiring emotional support; Restorative Justice provides a safe and supportive place for those seeking to address the impact of wrong-doing (criminal or non-criminal) as a non-court alternative.New programs:
